Introduction:
At long last the first of the greatest Looter-Shooters has been brought to us in glorious 4K resolution and, far more importantly, has a new achievement list. This list is almost identical to the Xbox 360 version of the game and as such anyone who played and completed that will have no issues here. Even to those new to the franchise, or at least new to this game it is a somewhat easy list since you can take advantage of the game's split playthrough system.
The system works like so: when you first begin the game you will be on 'Playthrough 1'. On this playthrough the enemies will not pose too much of a threat and you will be unlikely to struggle except for the odd boss here and there. The enemies here will increase in level the further you go but will max out at around level 35 in the base game and no more than level 40 in the DLCs. This means that you can't viably level up past these levels yourself since the enemy XP will become less and less as you grow in level above them. After completing 'Playthrough 1' you can then play the game on New Game +, or 'Playthrough 2' as it is called. Enemies here will begin at around level 35 and max out at level 50 in the base game and vary from 50-69 in the DLCs, depending on your level. It is on this playthrough where you can level yourself up to level 50 in the base game for " Ding! Champion " and level 51 and 61 for " Ding! Overleveled " and " Ding! Overleveled to 11 ". However this second playthrough is much more difficult as the enemies hit much harder. You will need to play this playthrough to level up, but for the DLCs you can load up your character from the main menu and choose 'Playthrough 1' and complete the DLCs on this. You can do this with any character that has already completed Playthrough 1, even a level 69 character, thus making any sense of challenge trivial.
Though, even with this system there still exists one difficult achievement that remains difficult regardless of the playthrough that you're on. The achievement " Vincible ", for defeating Crawmerax the Invincible in 'The Secret Armory of General Knoxx' is very challenging as Crawmerax will remain two levels above you no matter which playthrough you choose to fight it on. There is however a useful glitch that can see you beating it very easily. This glitch requires that you use Lilith as your character so with that in mind, it is highly recommended to focus on Lilith as your main character that you will use to complete the game and unlock all of the level based, story based and DLC achievements. I will explain the reasoning behind this in the description for " Vincible ".
Note. You can import your characters from the Xbox 360 version of the game and doing this will allow you to unlock a lot of the achievements that you have already unlocked in that version by simply performing basic actions to force the game to recognize that your character has met the requirements. This guide will be written as if you are not doing this, however if you are, consult this Character Import thread that details what you can expect to be able to unlock with an imported character. Credit to 'The Pants Party' for creating the thread and compiling the information.
Step 1a: Complete the game/co-op (Interchangeable with Step 1b)
Your first step is to begin the campaign. Again, I would highly recommend selecting Lilith as your main character so that you can take advanatage of the glitch to defeat Crawmerax for the " Vincible " achievement, otherwise the fight against Crawmerax is extremely difficult. While on this playthrough you should turn on another controller and sign in a second account (a Silver account will suffice) and have it idle while you complete the opening section of the game. Only two of the following achievements are missable but if you do them as soon as you are able you will not miss them. Doing this you can expect to unlock;
- " Can't We Get BEYOND Thunderdome? " - Emerge victorious from an arena match
- " Duel-icious " - Win a duel against another player
- " Group LF Healer " - Rescue a groupmate from death in a co-op game
- " There's No "I" In "Team" " - Complete 15 missions in co-op
- " Duelinator " - Win a duel without taking damage
- " United We Stand " - Defeat the Rakk Hive, the Vault Boss, Sledge, Krom, or Flynt in a co-op game
See their descriptions for specifics.
Also, while you're doing this, sign in a third account and a third controller to unlock " And They'll Tell Two Friends ", which is for playing with at least two other players. This can also be done online with two friends, as can all of the other co-op achievements if you don't have multiple accounts and controllers. You can use the Boosting Thread to find other people to unlock these achievements with.
You can expect to unlock all of the co-op achievements within the first hour or two of the game if you attempt them immediately, especially " There's No "I" In "Team" ", to complete 15 missions in co-op. Since this is the most involved you'll want to get it done as soon as possible.
After unlocking all of these you can proceed to play and complete the rest of the game. Be aware of the many miscellaneous achievements as you play, though none are difficult and can be unlocked whenever you want to, even on a completed game save. Also while playing be sure to do every single mission you find in the Arid Badlands and then in the Rust Commons areas of the game to unlock " Paid in Fyrestone ", " Made in Fyrestone ", " Paid in New Haven " and " Made in New Haven " to complete five and then all of the missions in each of the two main areas of the game. See their descripitions for more details.
Step 1b: Each character's special achievement (Interchangeable with Step 1a)
After completing your initial playthrough of the game using Lilith, you can now quickly unlock the three other character-specific achievements. Start a new game with a character you haven't played with, reach level 5 to unlock their skill, use it to kill enemies as per its achievement description, then quit out and start again with another character, then again with the third. Once you've done this, assuming you chose Lilith as your main character, you will have unlocked " Careful, He Bites ", " Reckless Abandon " and " Down in Front! ". Note, you will have, or should have unlocked Lilith equivalent achievement, " Truly Outrageous " while playing as her in your initial playthrough, but it is not missable so don't worry if you haven't, you can do it at any time.
Step 2: Level up to 50, 51 and 61
After your initial playthrough of the game you will be around level 35 and will need to begin the second playthrough of the game to continue to level up. At the start of your second playthrough the enemies will begin at around level 35 so you can then claim appropriate XP from killing them. You will not need to complete this playthrough if you choose to complete every side mission and kill all of the enemies you encounter instead of running past them. In doing so you will likely hit level 50 well before the end of the game. However, with the addition of 'The Secret Armory of General Knoxx' the level cap of the game was increased from 50 to 69 and there is an achievement for reaching level 51 and another for reaching level 61. You will then be required to continue playing the game to earn XP but the base game will still cap enemy levels to level 50 so you will need to play the DLC content on your second playthrough to earn the XP necessary to reach level 61. The DLCs can be quite hard on the second playthrough so don't be too concerned with completing them, just use them to level yourself up to level 61 if you're struggling with them.
DLC: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
In 'The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned' your aim is to assist Dr. Ned with curing the inhabitants of Jakob's Cove of the zombie outbreak that has befallen them.
This DLC is largely the same style of gameplay as the original game and consists of a series of main missions with side missions aplenty. The achievements are simple, four of which, " House of the Ned ", " Jakobs Fodder ", " Night of the Living Ned " and " Ned's Undead, Baby, Ned's Undead " are for completing main missions while the fifth, " Braaaaaaaaaaaaains! " is for completing a series of side missions, detailed in its description.
DLC: Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
'Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot' is a wave defence mode that has been justifiably lambasted over the years as it is very long-winded and provides no tangible reward for completion, other than its achievements. This DLC consists of three 'Challenges' which are basically three wave defence arenas. Each will have a small and a large challenge and the achievements; " Small Tournament ", " Hell-Burbia ", " The Angelic Ruins ", " The Gully " and " Big Tournament " are for completing the three small challenges, then completing each large challenge, then for having completed all three large challenges, respectively.
The best way to tackle this DLC is to sign in a second account and start the game with it. Then sign in your main account as the second player. With the first account start the game with a new character and get through the tutorial to Fyrestone so that you can use the New-U station to fast travel and then travel to 'The Underdome'. Then quit out and start that same game again only this time log in your main account with a high level character and join the game as the second player, making sure the host is the second account with a low level character. Doing this ensures the enemies remain at a very low level and your main high level character has almost no chance of being killed, since if you die and fail a round, then you will need to start the entire challenge again.
The three small challenges should take around an hour to an hour and a half to complete all three, then each large challenge should take around two and a half to three hours each.
DLC: The Secret Armory of General Knoxx
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
'The Secret Armory of General Knoxx' is a fantastic DLC and has you travel to T-Bone Junction to put a stop to the Crimson Lance and General Knoxx's plans. Much like the base game, this DLC consists of a main questline with many side missions and even a raid boss.
You cannot miss any of the achievements here, so play through the main story at your leisure and complete any side missions you see to reduce the grind at the end to unlock " Completionist " which requires you to complete all of the missions in the DLC. There are also three main story achievements; " Making a Monster ", " Athena, Out " and " Depot Demolition " that cannot be missed when completing the main story.
Besides those, there are a few miscellaneous achievements; " Sneaky Little Buggers ", " Speed Kills " and " Sucker born every minute " that can't be missed but will only be possible after completing certain missions or unlocking certain areas in the DLC. See their descriptions for details. As well as these, there are two achievements; " Ding! Overleveled " and " Ding! Overleveled to 11 " for reaching level 51 and level 61 respectively.
The final achievement in this DLC, " Vincible " is for defeating Crawmerax The Invincible, the raid boss of the game and is a very difficult boss to defeat conventionally. You should have, following this roadmap, chosen Lilith as your main character and if so, check the achievement's description for details on a glitch that makes this boss fight significantly easier.
DLC: Claptrap's New Robot Revolution
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
'Claptrap's New Robot Revolution' has you deal with the Claptrap menace that is turning the dead into its own Claptrap army.
Here you will be treated to a main quest filled with many familiar faces and some fun missions and dialogue, however slightly tarnished by the annoying achievements. There are four story related achievements; "Muerte la robo-lución", " Knoxx-Trap ", " Steele-Trap " and " Ned-Trap " that cannot be missed and another long-winded repeated quest achievement, " The Collector " that can be done at any time.
The remaining five achievements; "Tourist", " The Lubricator ", " Bobble-trap ", " It's so realistic! " and " What a party! " are for finding all of the statues and collecting items that drop from enemies. This can take any amount of time as the items that drop are random and you need anywhere from 5 to 25 of them for their respective achievements.
Conclusion:
A huge list of achievements ranging from the fun and interesting to the somewhat hard and utterly tedious. Most of your time in the game will be spent having fun and wanting more, it only falls apart during the 'Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot' DLC, and fall apart it most certainly does.
[XBA would like to thank Scotty for this Roadmap]

Kill an enemy plumber-style
To unlock this you need to jump on an enemy's head to kill it. The damage you do with this is miniscule so you will be better off shooting an enemy first to get their health really low, then jumping on their head to finish them off. It can be finicky whether it registers so just keep trying to land the jump. I found this easier on a skag at the start of the game since they run right up to you to attack.
-
Race around the Ludicrous Speedway in record time

You can unlock this achievement when you arrive in 'The Dahl Headlands' area of the game. Head to the area on the map below and your goal here is to get from the beginning to the end of the track in under a certain time. The time you need to beat is 31 seconds and this can be easily achieved by following the path detailed below;
Note this path uses a tight left hand turn followed by a jump over a ramp that needs to be done at speed while using boost. It can be tricky so expect to have to do a few practice runs first.
-
Apply an elemental artifact
Throughout the game you will find Elemental Artifacts as loot and be given them as mission rewards. When you have one of these, find it in your inventory and equip it. It will then be transferred to your skill screen and the element will be applied to your special attack. You can swap the Elemental Artifacts that you have applied at your leisure, so you don't need to wait for the one you want. They will all be stored on your character skill screen and can be changed from there.
You will be given an Elemental Artifact for completing the side mission 'Shock Crystal Harvest' that is a level 15 mission and will be given to you very early on. This mission is also required for " Made in Fyrestone ".

Earn level 50

Unlocked for reaching level 50. You of course level up by earning XP that is given for killing enemies and completing missions. The XP given from killing enemies is dependent on the enemy type, their level and your level relative to theirs. The XP given for completing missions is fixed.
To unlock this achievement will require a full playthrough of the game and then another partial playthrough, though how much of another playthrough depends on what you do to earn XP. I would recommend after completing your initial playthrough to jump straight into a second and avoid the DLCs so that you can keep leveling up. Then when you reach level 50 you can switch back to 'Playthrough 1' and begin the DLCs with a level 50 character to make them easy.
-
Kill 25 enemies by ramming them with any vehicle

Early on in the game you will be given a mission to get the 'Catch-a-Ride' station working. It's a short mission and once completed you will be able to spawn a vehicle to drive. While in the vehicle, enemies that you run over will be killed immediately, though will yield much reduced XP, so it's not advised to do this outside of this achievement.
You can earn this as soon as you have the vehicle by driving around the map and finding enemies to run over. Once you have 25 the achievement will unlock.
-
Kill 5 Rakk in under 10 seconds

Near the beginning of the game you will be given a mission by Dr. Zed called 'Sledge: Meet Shep' and upon doing so you will come into contact with Shep Sanders. After an initial mission from him he will offer a few more, one of which is called 'Get The Flock Outta Here' and is to kill ten Rakk nearby that spawn from a Hive. Head to this area while driving in a 'Machine Gun Runner' from one of the Catch-A-Ride stations and when close, switch to the gunner seat by pressing
. Fire off some shots at the Rakk Hive to get their attention then let them all gather and start to fly towards you. Once they are heading towards you, start firing into the pack of them and you will kill all of them in very quick succession. There are more than five here so this achievement can be very easily obtained during this mission. This can also be obtained anywhere where Rakk spawn, just get their attention first to have a large group of them form up so that shooting them in quick succession is easier.
-
Earn $1,000,000

You earn money by completing missions and by picking it up as loot from dropped enemies. Don't worry about unlocking this achievement, you will be a multi-millionaire by the end of the game. It's practically impossible not to have earned this much. You are unlikely to spend much money too, since most of your weapons and equipment will come from loot as opposed to being bought from the vending machines.
-
Sell 50 guns to a shop

The amount of weapons you will find throughout the game is almost beyond count. To unlock this achievement be sure to pick every weapon up that you find and if it's something you don't want, sell it to a vending machine. There are vending machines in every area and they are on your map if you forget where they are. You will unlock vending machines very early on during the opening missions of the game so you can begin to sell unwanted weapons almost immediately.
-
Emerge victorious from an arena match
This can be unlocked with a second account and controller. A silver account will suffice.
You can unlock this achievement very early on in the game. When you are given a mission by Dr. Zed called 'Blinding Nine-Toes' where you have to kill eight bandits, the area you are sent to has an arena that you can unlock this achievement in. There will be a huge glowing sign that says 'Arena' on it and a star on the map where you can enter the 'Fyrestone Coliseum'.
When starting the game, have a second account join you on a second controller, or a friend over Xbox Live and enter the Arena in this area. Once inside head through to the next portal and begin a match. In here, either kill your second account or have your friend let you kill them twice, then you will win the match and unlock this achievement.
-
Win a duel against another player
This can be unlocked with a second account and controller. A silver account will suffice.
While playing in splitscreen with a second controller or over Xbox Live with a friend, use the melee button
to melee attack the second controller's character, then melee attack your main character with the second controller and a duel will begin. Then simply kill the second controller with your main controller. This can be unlocked along with " Duelinator ".
-
Rescue a groupmate from death in a co-op game
This can be unlocked with a second account and controller. A silver account will suffice.
While playing in splitscreen with a second controller or over Xbox Live with a friend, have your second account or friend get downed by an enemy, then with your main controller hold
next to them to revive them. -
Complete 15 missions in co-op
This can be unlocked with a second account and controller. A silver account will suffice.
To unlock this achievement with a second account you should begin to work on this straight away as the game will increase the difficulty of enemies with more players present but the very beginning of the game is the easiest part. Have your second account active in the game from the beginning and complete the beginning set of missions. Doing this you will have completed 15 missions and unlocked this achievement within the first hour or so of the game.
Otherwise if you are playing this with a friend over Xbox Live you need not worry about unlocking it; it will come with natural play.
-
Play with at least two other players.
This can be unlocked with a second and third account and controller. Silver accounts are sufficient.
To unlock this, simply start a game and when in the lobby, activate two more accounts on two more controllers for a total of three players and start the game. The achievement will unlock right away.
This can of course be unlocked while playing over Xbox Live too if you have friends to play it with.
-
Reach proficiency level 10 with any weapon type

You gain proficiency with weapons simply by using them to kill enemies. Each character has weapons that suit their playstyle and will typically have skills and character mods that complement those specific weapons, though you can use any weapon with any character to unlock this.
This will come with natural play as long as you stick to the same weapon for a majority of the time you're playing your initial playthrough. Try to only change the weapon for an upgraded version and not for a different weapon altogether, at least until you have unlocked this achievement.
-
Win a duel without taking damage
This can be unlocked with a second account and controller. A silver account will suffice.
This achievement can and should be unlocked while going for " Duel-icious ". When attempting that achievement, so long as your second account or friend stands still and lets you kill them, you will take no damage and unlock this achievement along with " Duel-icious ".
-
Kill 25 enemies with corrosive weapons

Simply kill 25 enemies with a corrosive weapon. See " Master Exploder " for more details.
-
Kill 25 enemies with shock weapons

Simply kill 25 enemies with a shock weapon. See " Master Exploder " for more details.
-
Kill 25 enemies with incendiary weapons

Simply kill 25 enemies with an incendiary weapon. See " Master Exploder " for more details.
-
Kill 25 enemies with explosive weapons

Simply kill 25 enemies with an explosive weapon.
Throughout the game you will find weapons that have an elemental effect added to their damage. These can be Corrosive, Shock, Incendiary or Explosive. The weapons you find are almost exclusively random though some are drops from bosses and are the same every time. Being this as it may, you may find these elemental weapons early on in the game and can start to work on these achievements, otherwise you will need to wait until you find the appropriate elemental weapons.
An example of a guaranteed drop weapon with each element, should you need them;
- The Clipper, Incendiary. Drops from Nine Toes.
- Krom's Sidearm, Shock. Drops from Krom.
- The Meat Grinder, Explosive. Drops from Jaynis Kobb.
- The Blister, Corrosive. Reward for completing the mission 'Like A Moth To Flame'.
-
Equip a class mod for your character

You will be given class mods as mission rewards and find them as loot from enemies as well as be able to purchase them from vending machines. These class mods will offer character upgrades such as ammo or health regeneration and more skill points in certain skills for as long as you wear the mod.
If for some reason you are struggling to find one, you will be given a class mod as a mission reward for completing 'Sledge: Battle For The Badlands' that you can use for this achievement.
-
Rescue enough Claptraps to earn 42 inventory slots

For this achievement you will need to complete every 'Claptrap Rescue' mission during the game to acquire an SDU upgrade that each give you three inventory slots. You will find these missions in most areas and on your map will be marked with a yellow exclamation mark and you will need to go to them and accept them, then find the toolbox to repair them and return to complete it. You will also need to do all of these missions as they count towards both " Made in Fyrestone " and " Made in New Haven ". The clue to where you can find each mission is in the mission title, all of which I will detail below;
- Claptrap Rescue: Safe House
- Claptrap Rescue: The Lost Cave
- Claptrap Rescue: New Haven
- Claptrap Rescue: Tetanus Warren
- Claptrap Rescue: Scrapyard
- Claptrap Rescue: Krom's Canyon
- Claptrap Rescue: Trash Coast
- Claptrap Rescue: The Salt Flats
- Claptrap Rescue: Old Haven
- Claptrap Rescue: Crimson Fastness
This is the vague order you will do them in. You may do some in a slightly different order depending on where you go. -
Kill an enemy with the Siren's action skill

You will need to be level 5 before you can unlock any character's action skill.
The Siren's action skill is unique in how you use it to kill enemies as it's not an offensive skill. You will have to unlock certain skills that will add offensive damage to your action skill. In the Elemental skill tree, the skill 'Radiance' will apply shock damage to nearby enemies while your action skill is active. The damage it does is based on your level and the skill's level.
The best way to approach this achievement is after gaining some levels in this skill, head back to the beginning of the game where the enemies are around level 2-3 and activate your action skill when near one to try and have your Radiance shock damage kill them. Otherwise you can shoot stronger enemies until they are almost dead, then activate your action skill to kill them with the shock damage. Luckily you only need to do this to one enemy.

Kill 15 enemies with the Hunter's action skill

You will need to be level 5 before you can unlock any character's action skill.
The Hunter's action skill has you send your bird companion, Bloodwing, out to attack enemies. You can invest in certain skills to improve the damage and usefulness of the action skill in the Rogue skill tree with skills such as 'Swift Strike' that improves the damage and speed and 'Bird of Prey' that increases the amount of targets that Bloodwing can attack before returning.
This achievement can be attempted as soon as you reach level 5 however and should be done on the weaker early game enemies to unlock it as soon as possible.
-
Kill 15 enemies with the Berserker's action skill
You will need to be level 5 before you can unlock any character's action skill.
The Berserker's action skill has you put away your weapons and fight with just your immensely powerful fists for a short time. You can invest in skills to improve the power of your action skill such as 'Endless Rage' in the Brawler tree to increase the duration, among others.
This achievement can be attempted as soon as you reach level 5 however and should be done on the weaker early game enemies to unlock it as soon as possible.
-
Kill 15 enemies with the Soldier's action skill

You will need to be level 5 before you can unlock any characters action skill.

You can invest in skills to improve the lethality of your turret in the Infantry tree with skills such as 'Sentry' to improve it's damage and 'Guided Missile' to add a guided missile to it's arsenal, among others.
This achievement can be attempted as soon as you reach level 5 however and should be done on the weaker early game enemies to unlock it as soon as possible.

Defeat the Rakk Hive, the Vault Boss, Sledge, Krom, or Flynt in a co-op game

This can be unlocked with a second account and controller. A silver account will suffice.
The first chance to get this will be against Sledge, however his high powered shotgun, the small area you're in with him and your relative low level at the time of fighting him coupled with the increase in boss health and damage by having a second player present can make this somewhat challenging, especially to those new in the game.
You should then aim to unlock this fighting against Krom since he is in an open area that provides lots of cover and you can take your time making your way towards him, picking off his minions as you go. Krom too is somewhat weak and can even be killed from a distance with a sniper rifle by destroying the turret he is on.
Whoever you defeat in co-op is irrelevant however, as long as you beat one of the bosses named.
-
I bet you never thought you'd be here

To unlock this achievement you need to reach a somewhat secret area in 'Treacher's Landing'. You will be sent to this region by Crazy Earl during the main story and while here you can run to the secret area which is a small jetty with a boat. Jump onto the boat and the achievement will unlock. The location of the boat is in the image below;

-
Complete the "Jakobs Fodder" mission

Story related, cannot be missed.
Unlocked for completing the main story mission 'Jakobs Fodder'.
-
Complete the "Braaaaaaaaaaaaains!" mission

This achievement is unlocked for completing a series of side missions called; 'Brains', 'Braaains', 'Braaaaains', 'Braaaaaaaaaaaains' and 'Braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaains'. These are all for collecting zombie brains that drop from zombie enemies that you kill with a critical or head shot. You have to pick up this mission yourself by heading to 'Hallow's End' Via 'Jakobs Cove' and go to the building shown on the map below. Inside the building you will find the now undead T.K. Baha and speaking to him will give you the first of these missions.
Note that the brains you collect from defeated enemies will only be counted after acquiring these missions so any you pick up beforehand will not count. You are then advised to acquire this mission as soon as possible and work on it as you play the DLC as the amounts of brains you need are 10, 25, 50, 100 and 250 and can prove a grind if you still need to collect them after completing the DLC.

Complete the lesser challenge in all 3 coliseums

This achievement is unlocked for completing the lesser challenges in all three coliseums. This will be the first and only mission available to you called 'Prove Yourself', in the DLC after traveling to 'The Underdome'. This requires that you survive five rounds of five waves each in each of the three arenas. Doing this will take around an hour to an hour and a half for all three.
I would highly recommend that you take advantage of the game's level scaling by using a second account to achieve this as if you play it on your own game save, the enemies will be your level regardless of the playthrough you are on and as such can be quite difficult. More importantly, however is that if you die you have to start from the very beginning and these challenges are extremely tedious.
See the description for " Big Tournament " for details on how to manipulate the games level scaling.
-
Complete the larger challenge in the Hell-Burbia coliseum

Unlocked for beating the larger challenge in the 'Hell-Burbia' coliseum.

Complete each of the larger challenges in all 3 coliseums
You will unlock this for completing all three large challenges in all three coliseums. To do this with ease, though the tedium can't be avoided, you should do it in splitscreen with a second low level account.
Load the game up on an alternate profile (a Silver account will suffice) with a new character and complete the tutorial with that character so that you can gain access to the fast travel New-U station in Fyrestone. Once you are at this point, quit the game and then start it up again with the same character, only this time sign in your main account as a second player on a second controller and have them join the game, making sure the alternate, low level character is the host.
When you then play the game, the enemies will be at around level 10 so if you use your main character of level 50+ then the enemies will die in an instant and their damage will pose absolutely no threat to you whatsoever. Then you can play all of the challenges like this for an extremely easy time.
Of course be aware that if you die you will have to start again from the beginning of a challenge and they each will take around two to three hours so don't become too complacent as having to start any again will be very disheartening.

Kill Crawmerax the Invincible
To unlock this you need to complete the side mission 'You. Will. Die.' by killing Crawmerax the Invincible. You will be able to attempt this mission after completing the main story of this DLC and then picking the mission up from the 'T-Bone Junction' bounty board.
This achievement is the only genuinely difficult achievement in the game, however if you have taken the advice in the roadmap to use Lilith as your main character then you can take advantage of a glitch that makes this boss fight trivial.
As you disembark the elevator that takes you to Crawmerax's Lair, quickly start to run to the left and activate your action skill to become undetectable. As you're heading left you are looking for a small gap in the rock that you can crouch behind and you need to get into this position before your action skill runs out. Doing this puts you into a place that Crawmerax and its minions' attacks can't reach you. The glitch is somewhat temperamental and sometimes won't seem to work, however it most certainly does work after a little playing around with it. From this position you can now shoot the weak points on Crawmerax's body while it remains in place simply screaming every few seconds. Be sure to bring high powered weapons and preferably a mod that gives you ammo regeneration to make this as painless as possible.
The only difficulty when doing this glitch is reaching the weak point on Crawmerax's back. You cannot hit it from this area so the best way to get it is to leave the safety of the rock and run to the exact opposite side of the arena and try to get Crawmerax to look at you at this opposite side. From here, activate your action skill and get back to the rock that you were hiding behind and you will have a small window with Crawmerax's back facing you and you can get some shots off into its weak point. You may need to repeat this process a few times as Crawmerax will turn around to face you as soon as you start to shoot it.
Besides this glitch, if you prefer to attempt this legitimately, then good luck to you. You can also attempt this with a party of four players, however be aware that the more players you have in a party, the stronger the enemies and bosses will be, making an already very difficult boss even more difficult.

Kill each of the loot midgets
There are five total loot midgets in the game and can each be found in loot containers. The midgets and their locations are;
- Truxican Wrestler. This midget can be found in one of the very first lockers when you enter Lockdown Palace during the story mission 'Prison Break: Try Not to Get Shanked'. Open all of the lockers at the entrance to find him.
- Meat Popsicle. This midget can also be found in Lockdown Palace during the same mission as the above midget. Around halfway through you will enter a cell block through a right-hand door, just before this there is a small room in front of you. In here the container with this midget can be found.
- Mini Steve. This midget can be found in multiple locations, however the likeliest will be again in 'Lockdown Palace' just after where you can begin the 'Claptrap Rescue: Lockdown Palace' side mission in a red weapons chest. He can also be found in chests from any of the following locations; 'Sunken Sea', 'Road's End' or 'Deep Fathoms'.
- Crimson Shorty. This midget can be found in a Crimson Lance weapon chest at the end of the 'Road's End' location just before entering the 'Crimson Armory'.
- Dumpster Diver. This midget can be found in a chest at the location for the final boss of the 'Little People, Big Experiments' side mission, Motorhead.
-
Destroy a Lancer while in a Racer

You will gain access to a Racer from the Catch-A-Ride station after meeting Mad Moxxi for the first time. Your mission, 'Prison Break: Over the Wall' will require you to use a Racer to make a jump. With this Racer you will want to head to one of the highways, 'The Crimson Tollway' or 'The Ridgeway' that connects T-Bone Junction to the different regions of the DLC, and you will find Crimson Lancers driving around. You now will want to destroy one while in your Racer. Doing this on 'Playthrough 1' with a high level character will make it trivial, so for the sake of this achievement, that is recommended.
-
Reach Level 51

Unlocked for reaching level 51.
See " Ding! Overleveled to 11 " for more details.
-
Unlocked for reaching level 61.
This achievement will take some time and you will need to play the DLCs on your second playthrough to be sure enemies are high enough level to give you worthwhile XP. The best way I found to grind levels out however was to farm 'Crawmerax the Invincible', using the method detailed in the description for " Vincible ". The XP you gain for a successful kill is the largest you will acquire for any action in the game.
To farm Crawmerax, load the game and head to its lair. When there, kill it using the glitch method already detailed, or however you choose to defeat it. Then quit to the main menu, load your game back up again to find yourself in T-Bone Junction and go back to its lair to find it back alive and kill it again. You can repeat this as many times as you need/wish. This is also a very good way to farm powerful 'Legendary' weapons if you should want to, however they aren't necessary for any achievements.
However you choose to do it, reach level 61 for this achievement.

You will be told via a dialogue on-screen when new missions are available either from the bounty board or from an NPC, but the yellow exclamation missions you will need to go to and activate yourself. - Main Story Missions

Paid for a worthless tour of the world's largest bullet

This achievement is unlocked for paying to see the world's largest bullet. To do this head through 'The Ridgeway' and into 'Sunken Sea' and go to the area on the map below. Here you will want to press
on a donation box to pay for your tour of the world's largest bullet. The cost is very high, $8,000,000 to be precise, however at this stage of the game, it's very likely that this amount of money will not dent your finances too badly. Once you've have donated the money, the achievement will unlock.

Complete a crazy request for Tannis
You will unlock this achievement for completing a series of four missions given to you by Patricia Tannis. The missions; 'Fight For Your Right To Part-E', 'Parts is Parts', We All Have Our Part To Play' and 'A Part Of Something Larger Than Yourself' task you with collecting 42, 75, 100 and 150 'Clapt-Components', respectively.
These missions will direct you to a specific location and this location is the best place to farm the 'Clap-Components', though you can only get around 40-45 each time. So the first mission can be done in one sitting, however to grind out the next three missions you will want to go to this same area, kill all of the Claptrap enemies and collect as many 'Clap-Components' as you can, then quit to the main menu and load your game back up and run back to the location to farm more. Then repeat as necessary.
Note that the enemies you kill here will also have a chance to drop the collectibles for the four achievements; " The Lubricator ", " Bobble-trap ", " It's so realistic! " and " What a party! " so you may want to hold off attempting to grind those out until you are playing the four missions for this achievement to cut down on unnecessary grinding.
-

-
Collect 15 Claptrap bobbleheads
Unlocked for finding 15 Claptrap bobbleheads. See " What a party! " for more details.

-
Collect 3 panties, 5 fish in a bag, and 15 pizzas
Unlocked for finding 3 panties, 5 fish in a bag and 15 pizzas.
For the achievements " The Lubricator ", " Bobble-trap ", " It's so realistic! " and " What a party! ", the items you need to collect are random drops from defeated Claptrap enemies. You will be fighting these enemies throughout the DLC so don't attempt to grind these out initially since you will likely collect a majority of what you need while playing. Also, in conjunction with the description for " The Collector ", be sure to complete the missions for that achievement too before attempting to grind any of these out since you will be killing a lot of Claptrap enemies during them and may get mos if not all of what you need while doing so.
There is no way to track the collectibles you have in-game, so you can either try to keep track yourself by writing them down, or else just keep going until they all unlock.
